Obituary of Jane Duckenfield

Jane Amelia Duckenfield, 75, of Freehold died Sunday, January 18, 2009 at home. She was born in Freehold and was a lifelong resident. Jane was a licensed practical nurse at Marlboro Psychiatric Hospital, Marlboro Township where she was employed for 39 years before her retirement. She was a member of the Bethel A.M.E. Church, Freehold where she was a past president of the Ida F. Simpson Missionary Board, a member of the Bethel Chorale, Gospel Chorus, Senior Choir, and Scholarship Committee, and served as a church steward. She was also a member and past daughter ruler of the Lee B. Gibson Temple No. 1014, Freehold. Surviving are a son and daughter-in-law, Dennis and Donna Duckenfield, Freehold; two brothers and two sisters, John, Robert, Patricia, and Diana Duckenfield, all of Freehold; and three grandchildren, Aisha, Killeen, Texas and Sascha and Kayla, both of Freehold. The viewing will be held at the Bethel A.M.E. Church, 3 Waterworks Road, Freehold on Friday from 9:00 to 11:00 a.m. Funeral services will be held at the church at 11:00 a.m. followed by entombment at Maplewood Chapel Mausoleum, Freehold, The Higgins Memorial Home, Freehold is in charge of arrangements.
