Obituary of Veronica Anna Schoenenberger

Veronica Anna Schoenenberger, 90, of Freehold died Wednesday, February 4, 2009 at Bartley Manor, Jackson Township. Mrs. Schoenenberger was born in Brooklyn, N.Y. and resided in Queens, N.Y. before moving to Freehold in 1961. She was a communicant of St. Rose of Lima R.C. Church, and a member of the Rosary Altar Society of the church and Court St. Rose of Lima No. 737, Catholic Daughters of the Americas, all of Freehold. Her husband, Joseph Schoenenberger, died in 1990. Surviving are two sons, Joseph Schoenenberger and Peter Schoenenberger and his wife, Claire, all of Freehold; three sisters, Peggy, Anita, and Claire; six grandchildren, Laura, Chris, Peter, Anna, Heidi, and Joey; and three great grandchildren, Joe, Sarah, and Elias. The viewing will be held at the Higgins Memorial Home, 20 Center Street, Freehold on Friday from 2:00 to 4:00 and 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. The Funeral Liturgy will be celebrated at St. Rose of Lima Church on Saturday at 10:00 a.m. followed by entombment at St. Rose of Lima Mausoleum.
