Obituary of Mary Alice Finley

Mary Alice Finley, 76, of Freehold Township died Wednesday, February 4, 2009 at CentraState Medical Center, Freehold Township. Mrs. Finley was born in Wilkes Barre, Pennsylvania. She was a communicant of St. Joseph’s R.C. Church, Perrineville and St. Robert Bellarmine R.C. Church, Freehold Township. Mrs. Finley was a graduate of St. Nicholas High School, Wilkes Barre and attended the Nesbitt School of Nursing, Kingston, Pennsylvania. She was a unit secretary at CentraState Medical Center for 18 years before her retirement in 2000. She was predeceased by her husband, John Edward Finley, in 1993. Surviving are two sons and daughters-in-law, John and Anne Finley and Bryan and Lesa Finley and a daughter and son-in-law, Alison and Raphael Tangalos, all of Millstone Township; a brother, Carl Charnetski, Kingston, Pennsylvania; and eight grandchildren, Christopher, Caroline, Jacqueline, Tyler, Raphael, Hunter, Nicholas, and Ashleigh. Visiting will be held at the Higgins Memorial Home, 20 Center Street, Freehold on Friday from 2:00 to 4:00 and 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. The Funeral Liturgy will be celebrated at St. Robert Bellarmine R.C. Church, 61 Georgia Road, Freehold Township on Saturday at 10:00 a.m. followed by interment at St. Rose of Lima Cemetery, Freehold. Memorial donations to Four East Oncology Unit, care of CentraState Medical Center, 901 West Main Street, Freehold, NJ 07728 or St. Jude Children’s Research Center, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105-1905 would be appreciated.
