Obituary of Lillian Joan Coutts

Lillian Joan Coutts, 83, of Colts Neck Township died Thursday, February 19, 2009 at home. Mrs. Coutts was born in Brooklyn, N.Y. and had resided in Short Hills before moving to Colts Neck Township 37 years ago. She was a realtor for Gallery of Homes, Freehold. Prior to that she was a runway and private show fashion model in New York City and Washington, D.C. Mrs. Coutts was a member of the Colts Neck Reformed Church, Colts Neck Township; a Paul Harris Fellow of Rotary International, and a former member of the Colts Neck Women’s Club. She was predeceased by her parents, George and Joan De Maio and a brother, George De Maio. Surviving are her beloved husband of 50 years, Robert Lloyd Coutts; three loving daughters, Lisa Coutts, Tina Madsen, her husband Michael and their daughter Taylor Madsen, and Robin Porcelli and her husband James; a stepson, Robert Lloyd Coutts, III; a stepdaughter, Suzanne and her husband Bill Selby; many nieces and nephews; and a loving caregiver, Bernice Edwards. Visiting will be held at the Higgins Memorial Home, 20 Center Street, Freehold on Monday from 2:00 to 4:00 and 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. Funeral services will be held at the Colts Neck Reformed Church, 72 Highway 537 West, Colts Neck on Tuesday at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Scott Brown officiating. The interment will follow at Atlantic Cemetery, Colts Neck Township.
