Obituary of William P. Bayer

William P. Bayer, 95, of Jackson Township died Friday at Bartley Manor, Jackson Township. Mr. Bayer was born in New York City and had resided in Marlboro Township and Freehold before moving to Jackson Township. Mr. Bayer was a U.S. Army Air Force veteran of World War II. He was an electrician for Hansen, Van Winkle, & Munning, Matawan. After that he was employed at the County of Monmouth. Mr. Bayer a life member of American Legion Post No. 54, Freehold and was awarded a 50 year membership award in 1995. He was an exempt member of the Marlboro Fire Company, Marlboro Township. Surviving are two sons, Thomas H. Bayer, Florida and William R. Bayer and his wife, Tina, Jackson Township; three grandchildren, Robert Bayer and his wife, Monika, Andrew Bayer and his wife Patrice, and Donna Keidel and her husband, Charlie; eight grandchildren, Amanda and Sarah Keidel, and Matthew, Emily, Meredith, Billy, Brian, and Bridget Bayer; and two great great grandchildren, Owen T. Bayer and Kadyn White. The viewing will be held at the Higgins Memorial Home, 20 Center Street, Freehold on Tuesday from 2:00 to 4:00 and 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. Funeral service will be held at the funeral home on Wednesday at 10:00 a.m. The interment will be held at the Brigadier General William C. Doyle Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Arneytown. American Legion services will be held at the funeral home on Tuesday at 7:15 p.m. Memorial donations to the American Cancer Society would be appreciated.
