Obituary of Ronald K. Turcotte

Ronald K. Turcotte, Sr. , 76, of Howell Township died Thursday, March 12, 2009. He was born in Mattawa, Ontario, Canada. Ron was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather. He worked as a horse driver, trainer, and owner for most of his life. Ron served on the Board of Directors for the Standardbred Breeders and Owners Association. He was always the No. 1 fan for his grandchildren and great grandchildren at all their sporting events. He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Lise Turcotte; four sons, Robert, Daniel, Dean, and Ron Turcotte, Jr.; four daughters and sons-in-law, Monica and Gille St. Aubin, Melody and Wayne Elsbree, Marie and Donald Dupont, and Kim and Robert Beck; five brothers; four sisters; 16 grandchildren; and four great grandchildren. Friends are invited to visit with the family at the Higgins Memorial Home, 20 Center Street, Freehold on Sunday from 2:00 to 6:00 p.m. A memorial service will be held during the visiting hours at 4:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers memorial donations to the Standardbred Retirement Foundation, 108F York Road, Hamilton, NJ 08620 would be appreciated.
