Obituary of Helen Karl

Helen Karl, 82, of Laurelton Gardens, Brick Township died suddenly on Sunday, March 15, 2009 at home. Mrs. Karl was born in New York City to Sam and Anna Mazurick and had resided in Freehold before moving to Brick Township. She volunteered to help others in need and started a career as a secretary for McGraw Hill Publishing, New York City. After she married they moved to California where she adopted her two loved children. After her husband’s death she moved back to the east coast to be with her sister and family and was a secretary at the Monmouth County Prosecutors Office, Freehold. Raising her children on her own was not easy yet she persevered making sure they were loved and cared for through her support and assistance when it was needed terribly. She will be missed by all who loved her. She was the beloved wife of the late John G. Karl and the nurturing mother of Peter J. Karl, Sr. and his wife Cynthia and Mary Ann Worsham and her husband Richard; the loving grandmother of Peter J., Jr., John G., and Gregory Karl, and Matthew and Michael Warmouth; and dearest sister to Jeanne Kozloff and her family including her late husband John and their children, Gary Kozloff and Paul Kozloff and his wife, Veronica. Graveside services will be held at St. Vladimir’s Cemetery, Jackson Township on Tuesday at 1:00 p.m. Higgins Memorial Home, Freehold is in charge of arrangements.
