Obituary of Donald G. Venti

Donald G. Venti, 60, of Cape Canaveral, Florida died Friday, March 20, 2009 at home. He was born in Neptune Township and had resided in Freehold for most of his life before moving to Florida. He was a 1970 graduate of Monmouth University, West Long Branch. He was a former Freehold Township Police officer and was employed at the Monmouth County Probation Department before his retirement in 1998. He was the son of the late Samuel and Esther McMahon Venti. He was also predeceased by a brother, Robert Venti who died in 1942. Surviving are a sister and brother-in-law, Joan and Edward Kress, Farmingdale; two nieces Mary Alsager and her husband Eric and Judy Czeto and her husband Johnathan; and a great nephew, William Aslager. Visiting will be held at the Higgins Memorial Home, 20 Center Street, Freehold on Thursday from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. and Friday from 9:00 to 11:30 a.m. Funeral services will be held at the funeral home on Friday at 11:30 a.m. followed by interment at St. Rose of Lima Cemetery, Freehold. In lieu of flowers memorial donations to the Freehold First Aid and Emergency Squad, 18 Spring Street, Freehold, NJ 07728 would be appreciated.
