Obituary of Alice Mary Tufenkjian

Alice Mary Tufenkjian, 61, of Freehold died Sunday, March 29, 2009 at Neptune Rehabilitation and Care Center, Neptune Township. She was born in Neptune Township and had resided in Freehold all her life. She was a member of St. Peter’s Episcopal Church, Freehold; a graduate of Monmouth University with a Bachelor of Science degree in elementary education; and enjoyed reading, knitting, and sewing. Her father, Hugh Tufenkjian, died in 1992. Surviving are her mother, Margaret Tashjian Tufenkjian, Freehold; and an aunt, Rose Anderson, Barnegat. Visiting will be held at the Higgins Memorial Home, 20 Center Street, Freehold on Tuesday from 9:00 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. followed by The Burial Office and Holy Eucharist at St. Peter’s Episcopal Church, 33 Throckmorton Street, Freehold at 11:00 a.m. The interment will be held at Maplewood Cemetery, Freehold.
