Obituary of Mildred B. Provost

Mildred B. Provost, 85, of Jackson Township died Thursday, April 2, 2009 at CentraState Medical Center, Freehold Township. Mrs. Provost was born in Newark and had resided in Scotch Plains for 50 years before moving to Jackson Township in 2006. Mrs. Provost was a communicant of St. Robert Bellarmine R.C. Church, Freehold Township. Her husband, Walter C. Provost, died in 2007. Surviving are two sons and daughters-in-law, Walter C., Jr. and Patricia Provost, Oak Ridge and Timothy J. and Deborah Provost, Millstone Township; a brother, Carl Riester, Toms River; and three grandchildren, Rachel, Melissa, and Lauren. Visiting will be held at the Higgins Memorial Home, 20 Center Street, Freehold on Friday from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. Funeral services will be held at the funeral home on Saturday at 10:00 a.m. followed by entombment at Good Shepherd Chapel Mausoleum at St. Gertrude’s Cemetery, Colonia.
