Obituary of Theresa A. Allen

Theresa A. Allen, 79, of Manalapan Township died Friday, April 3, 2009 at Clark Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Clark. She was born in New York City and had resided in Freehold before moving to Manalapan Township 25 years ago. She was director of admission at the John L. Montgomery Medical Home, Freehold Township for 12 years before her retirement ten years ago. Mrs. Allen was a communicant of St. Rose of Lima R.C. Church, Freehold; a member of Court No. 737 St. Rose of Lima, Catholic Daughters of the Americas, Freehold and the Cover Bridge Auxiliary of Deborah Hospital, and was director of St. Rose of Lima C.Y.O. in the 1960’s. A son, Robert Allen, Jr, died in 1994 and a daughter, Judith Anne, died in 1952. Surviving are two daughters, Christine Allen Fausak and Tracey M. Allen; two sisters, Veronica Kelly and Katherine Kiernan; and six grandchildren, Kristen, Robert, III, Abagail, Teddy, Maggie Mae, and John Conor. Visiting will be held at the Higgins Memorial Home, 20 Center Street, Freehold on Tuesday from 2:00 to 4:00 and 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. The Funeral Liturgy will be celebrated at St. Rose of Lima Church, Freehold on Wednesday 10:00 a.m. followed by interment at St. Rose of Lima Cemetery, Freehold.
