Obituary of Willie Simons

Willie Simons, 57, of Freehold died Saturday, April 11, 2009 at his niece’s home in Freehold. He was born in Clarksdale, Mississippi and had resided in Freehold most of his life. He was a U.S. Marine Corps veteran. Mr. Simons was a construction worker. Surviving are his wife, Pamela Manning Simons; a son, James Simons, Copperas Cove, Texas; two daughters, Antoinette Russin, Dallas, Texas and Quaneka Wilson-Newman, Adams Run, S.C.; two brothers, Percy Fair, Freehold and Will Fair, Clarksdale, Mississippi; four sisters, Marie Hammond, May Frances Fair, Ruby Williams, and Pearlie Mae Fair; and eight grandchildren, Tony, Talia, Tymir, Zyaire, Marcus, Darius, Paris, and Premyre; a friend Judy Slover; and many nieces and nephews. The viewing will be held at the Higgins Memorial Home, 20 Center Street, Freehold on Friday from 11:00 a.m. to noon. Funeral services will be held at the funeral home at noon followed by interment at Brigadier General William C. Doyle Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Arneytown.
