Obituary of Catherine DiMeo

Catherine DiMeo, 78, of Howell Township died Sunday, April 19, 2009 at The Manor, Freehold Township. Mrs. DiMeo was born in Newark. She was an inspector for General Motors, Linden before her retirement and was a member of the United Auto Workers Union. Surviving are her husband, Anthony Joseph DiMeo; two sons, Bix DiMeo and Christian DiMeo and his wife, Gabrielle Barcia-DiMeo; a daughter, Teress Mesce and her husband Ralph Mesce; a brother, Salvatore Bronzo; two sisters, Josephine Puleo and Michelina Gonsalvez; and six grandchildren, Cassandra Mesce, PFC Gabriel Mesce, U.S.M.C., Jake DiMeo, Colin DiMeo, Nicholas Barcia-DiMeo and Maria Barcia-DiMeo. Visiting will be held at the Higgins Memorial Home, 20 Center Street, Freehold on Tuesday from 2:00 to 4:00 and 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. Funeral services will be held at the funeral home on Wednesday at 10:00 a.m. followed by entombment at Holmdel Mausoleum, Holmdel Township.
