Obituary of John H. Bass

John H. Bass, 58, of Neptune City died Monday, May 25, 2009 at MediCenter at Neptune City. He was born In Neptune Township and had resided in Wall Township before moving to Neptune City. He was a well known artist in the Asbury Park boardwalk area where he was known as a speed painter. He was a graduate of Howell High School, Howell Township. Surviving are five brothers, Donald Bass and his wife Shirley, Lakewood, David Bass and his wife Martha, Long Branch, Danny Bass and his wife Kim, Myerstown, Pennsylvania, James Sharpe, Long Branch, and Michael Sharpe and his wife, Alicia. Asbury Park; four sisters, Joanne Conaway and her husband Robert, Manchester Township, Belinda Spradley and her husband Raymond, and Sharon Bass, all of Manalapan Township; and Darlene Postell and her husband Donald, Freehold; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Visiting will be held at the Higgins Memorial Home, 20 Center Street, Freehold on Saturday from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m. A memorial service will be held at the funeral home at 2:00 p.m.
