Obituary of Alice Dukat Evans
Alice Dukat Evans, 75, of Freehold, died Friday, May 29, 2009 at home. Born in Niagara Falls, New York, she lived in Brooklyn and Marlboro Township prior to moving to Freehold 33 years ago.
Mrs. Evans was employed by the State of New Jersey, Office of the Public Defender, Freehold for 20 years, retiring 13 years ago.
She was a communicant of St. Rose of Lima Church, and sang in the Church Choir for 22 years. She regularly attended the 8:30 A.M. daily Mass. Alice was a wonderful mother, grandma, and a great friend.
Her husband, George L. Evans, died in 1989.
Surviving are a daughter and son-in-law, Kathy and Tom D’Antonio, Rochester, New York; two sons and daughters-in-law, Bill and Celia Evans, Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, and Mike and Katie Evans, Holmdel; and nine grandchildren, Tommy, Billy, Jackie and Joey D’Antonio, Alex and Zac Evans, and Quinn, Kathryn, and Reese Alice Evans.
Relatives and friends may call at the Higgins Memorial Home, 20 Center Street, Freehold, on Monday, June 1, 2009 2:00 to 5:00 P.M. and 7:00 to 9:00 P.M. A Funeral Liturgy will be celebrated on Tuesday at 10:00 A.M. at St. Rose of Lima Church, Freehold. Interment will follow at St. Rose of Lima Cemetery, Freehold. Donations in her memory to the Visiting Nurse Association of Central New Jersey, Hospice Unit, 141 Bodman Place, Red Bank, NJ 07701, or the charity of your choice would be appreciated.
