Obituary of Linford Atkinson Stevenson
Linford Atkinson Stevenson, 88, of Marlboro Township died Tuesday, June 23, 2009 at Applewood Estates Health Care Center, Freehold Township. Mr. Stevenson was born in Pemberton and had resided in Marlboro Township since 1931.
Mr. Stevenson was a farmer in Marlboro Township from 1939 until his retirement in 1990. Prior to that he was a herdsman for the former Marlboro State Hospital, Marlboro Township.
He was an Agway committeeman and member of the De Kalb Corn High Yield Club. He was one of the founders of Boy Scout Troop No. 86 of Old Brick Reformed Church, Marlboro Township.
His wife, Gloria Elizabeth Stevenson, died in 2007.
Surviving are a daughter and son-in-law, Patricia and Nicholas Accisano; and three grandchildren, Patti Hanson, Jackson Township, and Nicholas Accisano, IV, and John Accisano, both of Howell Township; and three nieces.
Private services will be held under the direction of the Higgins Memorial Home, Freehold. In lieu of flowers memorial donations to the Colts Neck Reformed Church, Colts Neck, PO Box 57, NJ 07722 would be appreciated.
