Obituary of Joan Wish
Joan Wish, 71, of Freehold passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on Friday, July 3, 2009 at CentraState Medical Center, Freehold Township. She was born in Neptune Township and was a lifelong Freehold resident.
She was a graduate of Freehold Regional High School where she was a member of the cheerleading squad.
Mrs. Wish was an administrative assistant at Nestle Company, Freehold where she was employed for 35 years before her retirement in 2003 and was an Avon sales representative for over 30 years. She enjoyed cooking for her family and friends.
She dedicated her retirement time to caring for her mother whom she loved very much.
She was a communicant of St. Rose of Lima R.C. Church, Freehold.
She was predeceased by her brother Larry Marquardt in 1975.
Surviving are three sons, John Wish, Freehold, Jim Wish and his wife Pamela, Farmingdale, and Jeffrey Wish and his companion Diane Lockhart, Jackson Township; her mother, Vera Irene Marquardt, Freehold; two grandchildren, Jeffrey and Taylor Wish; a nephew, Ronnie Marquardt; and a niece Donna DePaz.
Visiting hours will be held at the Higgins Memorial Home, 20 Center Street, Freehold on Monday from 2:00 to 4:00 and 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. The Funeral Liturgy will be celebrated at St. Rose of Lima Chapel, Freehold on Tuesday at 10:00 a.m. Memorial donations to the Freehold First Aid and Emergency Squad, 18 Spring St., Freehold, NJ 07728 would be appreciated.
