Obituary of Donald O. Reed

Donald O. Reed, 76, of Spotswood died Thursday, July 23, 2009 at home. Mr. Reed was born in Clarksburg and had resided in New Egypt and Millstone Township before moving to Spotswood in 2006. Mr. Reed worked for CentraState Hospital in the Maintenance Department before his retirement. He was a member of the Reformed Church of Freehold. Mr. Reed was a U.S. Navy veteran and served during the Korean War. He is survived by his wife, Barbara Reed, Spotswood; three children, George Richard Jackson Jr, New Egypt; LuAnn Terlecki; Trenton; Donna Reed, Jamesburg; three grandchildren, Barbara, Shannon and Christopher; one great-grandchild, Ryan, and two sisters, Vivian Michener, Hampton NJ; Ruth Houlahan, Toms River. Visiting hours will be held at the Higgins Memorial Home, 20 Center Street, Freehold on Sunday from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. and 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. Funeral services will be held at the funeral home on Monday at 10:00A.M.followed by internment at Brigadier General William C. Doyle Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Arneytown. In lieu of flowers memorial donations to the Colts Neck Reformed Church or Odyssey HealthCare, 242 Old New Brunswick Road, Piscataway, NJ 08554 would be appreciated.
