Obituary of Thomas P. Castles

Thomas P. Castles, 80, of Clarksburg died peacefully at home on Sunday, July 26, 2009. Mr. Castles was born in Newark and had resided in Clarksburg since 1992. Mr. Castles was a proud U.S. Army veteran of the Korean War. A member of the United Presbyterian Church of Millstone, Mr. Castles spent most of his working career preparing to become a father and grandfather. He was a kid at heart who enjoyed and loved his children and grandchildren. Surviving are his wife, Barbara Brighton Castles, two sons and daughters-in-law, Michael and Maggie Castles, Flemington and Thomas and Susan Castles, East Brunswick; three daughters and sons-in-law, Patty and John Jones, Clarksburg, Sharon and Robert Wilson, Freehold, and Diane and Steve Castracane, Clarksburg; 12 grandchildren; and a great grandchild due in August. Visiting hours will be held at the Higgins Memorial Home, 20 Center Street, Freehold on Wednesday from 2:00 to 4:00 and 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. Funeral services will be held at the United Presbyterian Church of Millstone, 211 Millstone Road, Perrineville on Thursday at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Gregory J. Pike officiating. The interment will follow at the Brigadier General William C. Doyle Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Arneytown.
