Obituary of Lillian Kingston
Lillian Kingston, 89, of Wheatland, Pennsylvania, formerly of Freehold died Sunday, August 2, 2009. She was born in Jersey City and resided in Freehold before moving to Pennsylvania.
She was a packer for the Washington Forge Company, Englishtown where she was employed for 28 years before her retirement. Prior to that she was employed at the A.& M. Karagheusian Rug Mill, Freehold.
She was a member of American Legion Post No. 54 Auxiliary and B.P.O.E. Lodge No. 1454, both of Freehold.
Her husband, Joseph W. Kingston, died in 1993.
Surviving are a daughter and son-in-law, Nancy E. and Jack Thompson; Wheatland, Pennsylvania; two sisters, Margaret Ward, St. Augustine, Florida, and Gertrude Cosgrove, Springhill, Florida; two grandchildren, Dennis Carrera, Jr. and his wife Tiffiane and Kimberly Weiser and her husband, Jim; and four great grandchildren, Ashley and Austin Carrera and Nicole and Jenna Weiser.
Visiting will be held at the Higgins Memorial Home, 20 Center Street, Freehold on Thursday from 2:00 to 4:00 and 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. Funeral services will be held at the funeral home on Friday at 10:00 a.m. followed by interment at Maplewood Cemetery, Freehold. Elks Lodge services will be held at 7:30 p.m. and American Legion Auxiliary services will be held at 7:45 p.m.
