Obituary of Nathaniel L. Stroud
Nathaniel L. Stroud, 66, of Burlington Township died Friday, August 7, 2009 at Samaritan Hospice, Mount Holly. Mr. Stroud was born in Long Branch and had resided in the Millhurst section of Manalapan Township before moving to Burlington Township.
He was a U.S. Army veteran.
He was an auto worker for the Ford Motor Company, Edison Township before his retirement.
He was ordained into the ministry at First Baptist Church, Pennington.
Surviving are his wife, Etta Wright Stroud; a son, Nathaniel Stroud, Jr. and his wife Serlisa; two brothers, Walter Stroud, Hazelwood, Missouri, and Roland Stroud, Bronx, New York; three sisters, Gale Averheart, Trenton, Delores Pryce, Lakewood, and Maxine Mayo, New York City, New York; and two grandchildren, Zira and Princes Lotus; and a host of relatives and friends.
The viewing will be held at the Higgins Memorial Home, 20 Center Street, Freehold on Wednesday from 11:00 to 12:00 p.m. followed by funeral services at 12:00 p.m. The interment will follow at Brigadier General William C. Doyle Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Arneytown.
