Obituary of Frederick Taureck

Frederick Taureck, 86, of Millstone Township died Thursday, August 13, 2009 at home. Born in Hoboken, he lived in North Brunswick prior to moving to Millstone Township 44 years ago. Mr. Taureck was a truck driver for Hermann Forwarding Company, North Brunswick for over 20 years, retiring 35 years ago. He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II, was a Prisoner of War, and received the Bronze Star and French Medal of Honor. He was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post No. 4374, and the Disabled American Veterans Chapter No. 74, both of Freehold. Surviving are his wife, Madeline Moniello Taureck; a son, Frederick Taureck, Millstone Township; two daughters, Sherry Rudolph, Millstone Township, and Denise Miller and her husband David, Lancaster, Ohio; a brother, Otto “Bud” Taureck, East Brunswick; a sister, Lydia McClure, Oakland; four grandchildren; and three great grandchildren. Relatives and friends may call at the Higgins Memorial Home, 20 Center Street, Freehold on Sunday, August 16, 2009 from 2:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. D.A.V. services will be held at 3:45 p.m. V.F.W. services will be held at 4:00 p.m. The family will gather at the funeral home on Monday, August 17, 2009 at 8:30 a.m. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. at the Brigadier General William C. Doyle Veterans Cemetery, Arneytown.
