Obituary of Maryjane A. Bantin

Maryjane A. Bantin, 75, of Manalapan Township died Sunday, August 23, 2009 at Ocean Medical Center, Brick Township. Mrs. Bantin was born in Brooklyn, N.Y. and had resided in Bay Ridge, Brooklyn before moving to Manalapan Township 42 years ago. She was a communicant of St. Gabriel’s R.C. Church, Marlboro Township where she was a member of the Altar Rosary Society and the Garden Club. Mrs. Bantin was president of the Ladies Auxiliary of Father McGivney Council No. 6392, Knights of Columbus. Surviving are her husband, Charles A. Bantin; a son and daughter-in-law, James G Bantin and Anabela Pacheco Bantin; a daughter, Marie K. Bantin; a sister, Claire Hogg; a granddaughter, Nicole Bantin; cousins, Jack and Ann Connelly, Joan Lane, Elaine and Bill Hutton, Sister Jane Ellis, I.H.M., Robert Strayton and Kathy Strayton Geisler; and extended family Judi and Ryan Finnegan. Visiting hours will be held at the Higgins Memorial Home, 20 Center Street, Freehold on Tuesday from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. and Wednesday from 2:00 to 4:00 and 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. The Funeral Liturgy will be celebrated at St. Gabriel’s R.C. Church, 100 Main Street (Route 79), Marlboro on Thursday at 10:00 a.m. followed by interment at the parish cemetery.
