Obituary of Caroline De Sousa
Caroline De Sousa, 96, of Freehold died Saturday, October 3, 2009 at CentraState Medical Center, Freehold Township. Mrs. De Sousa was born in Madeira, Portugal.
She was seamstress for the former Polchak Clothing Factory and Parnes Brothers Clothing Factory, both of Freehold.
Mrs. De Sousa was a communicant of St. Rose of Lima R.C. Church, Freehold.
Her husband, John De Sousa, died in 1980.
Surviving are a daughter, Virginia Richard, Freehold; a brother and sister-in-law, Fernando and Maria Gomes; a sister, Joanna Correia, Madeira, Portugal; and a grandson, Eric Scott Richard.
Visiting will be held at the Higgins Memorial Home, 20 Center Street, Freehold on Wednesday from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. The Funeral Liturgy will be celebrated at St. Rose of Lima Chapel on Thursday at 10:00 a.m. followed by interment at the parish cemetery.
