Obituary of Kathleen A. Thompson

Kathleen A. Thompson, 67, of Freehold died Saturday, October 17, 2009 at CentraState Medical Center, Freehold Township. Mrs. Thompson was born in Neptune Township and was a lifelong Freehold resident. She was a supervisor for the Monmouth County Prosecutor’s Office, Freehold where she was employed for 22 years before her retirement. Prior to that she was employed at Fort Monmouth. Mrs. Thompson was a communicant of St. Rose of Lima R.C. Church, Freehold. She was predeceased by her parents, Phillip and Rose Hill. Surviving are her loving husband of 43 years, George L. Thompson; three daughters and sons-in-law, Colleen and Charles Jerry, Darlene and Philip Ecks, and Lori and Donald Kernan; two brothers, James Hill and his wife, Patricia and Phillip Hill Jr.; two grandchildren, Samantha and Ryan Jerry; three nieces, Kimberly, Christa and Brittany Hill; her loyal dog Maggie; and many loving relatives and friends. Visiting will be held at the Higgins Memorial Home, 20 Center Street, Freehold on Tuesday from 2:00 to 4:00 and 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. The Funeral Liturgy will be celebrated at St. Rose of Lima Chapel, Freehold on Wednesday at 10:00 a.m. followed by interment at St. Rose of Lima Cemetery, Freehold.
