Obituary of Ronald J. Thomas

Ronald J. “Figgie” Thomas, 58, of Morganville died Monday, Oct. 26, 2009 at the home he shared with his partner, Regina. Ronald was born to Ronald M. and Rev. Arlene Thomas at Harlem Hospital in New York. He graduated from Freehold Regional High School and worked as a heavy machine operator before working in the trucking industry until his retirement in 2006. He was predeceased by his grandmother, Pearline Richardson. Ronald is survived by his mother, Rev. Arlene Thomas, Morganville; partner, Regina Washington, Laurence Harbor; daughter, Kim Rogers, Long Branch; son, Rasool Thomas, Perth Amboy; three grandsons, Aaron, Craig and Jordan Rogers, Long Branch and many relatives and friends. The viewing will be held at the Wicker Memorial Baptist Church, 180 Greenwood Ave., Morganville on Thursday from 6:00 to 7:00 p.m. Funeral services will be held at 8:00 p.m. The interment will be held on Friday at Union Prospect Cemetery, Aberdeen Township. Higgins Memorial Home, Freehold is in charge of arrangements.
