Obituary of Donald B. Weeden

Donald B. Weeden, 92, of Manalapan Township died Thursday, December 17, 2015 at CentraState Medical Center, Freehold Township. Mr. Weeden was born in Trenton and was a lifelong resident of Manalapan. He attended Rider College. He was a tomato farmer and later was a part-owner of Orr Motors, Manalapan. He was sales manager at Buhler and Bitter, Hazlet before his retirement. Mr. Weeden was a member of the First Baptist Church, Freehold where he served as a deacon. He was predeceased by his wife of 50 years, Ada Anderson Weeden in 1995; a son, James F. Weeden in 1997, a daughter, Susan Stafflinger in 1996; two great grandsons, Franklin and Jackson; and two brothers, Edward and Eugene Weeden. Surviving are his wife, Eva Lou Swenson Weeden; a son and daughter-in-law, Richard and Angela Weeden; his grandchildren, David Stafflinger and wife Robyn, Sharon Doelger and husband Tim, Keith Weeden and wife Kristi, Brian Stafflinger, Kevin Weeden and wife Maricsa, Kenneth Weeden and wife Pauline, and Michael Weeden; and eight great grandchildren, Tyler, Riley, Austin, Izabel, Cameron, Vivian, Mia, and Ava. The viewing will be held at the Higgins Memorial Home, 20 Center Street, Freehold on Monday from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. Funeral services will be held at the funeral home on Tuesday at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. William L. Frederickson officiating followed by interment at Old Tennent Cemetery, Tennent.
