Obituary of James Otto Rolfe
James Otto Rolfe, Sr., 76, of Freehold Township died on Tuesday, November 3, 2009 in Freehold Township surrounded by his loved ones. Mr. Rolfe was born in Nixon and had resided in Highland Park before moving to Freehold Township seven years ago.
Mr. Rolfe had served in the U.S. Air Force.
He was a carpenter before his retirement.
Mr. Rolfe was a member of the First Presbyterian Church, Freehold where he served on the church property commission.
He was predeceased by a son, James Otto Rolfe, Jr.
Surviving are his wife, Valentine Hugly Rolfe; a son, Duane Henry Rolfe; a daughter and son-in-law, Wendy Lynne and John Jaghab; three brothers, George, Carl, and Edward Rolfe; a sister, Marie Halsey; five grandchildren, James Otto Rolfe, III, James Jaghab and his wife Jennifer, Justin Jaghab, and Crystal and Crimson Rolfe; and a great grandson, Antonias.
Visiting hours will be held at the Higgins Memorial Home, 20 Center Street, Freehold on Friday from 2:00 to 4:00 and 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. Funeral services will be held at the First Presbyterian Church, Freehold on Saturday at 10 a.m. followed by interment at Old Tennent Cemetery, Tennent.
