Obituary of Maureen T. Winchester
Maureen T. Winchester, 75, of Manalapan Township died Sunday, November 8, 2009 at Raritan Bay Medical Center, Old Bridge Township. Mrs. Winchester was born in Lowell, Massachusetts and had resided in Flushing, N.Y before moving to Manalapan Township.
She was a teacher’s aide for the Manalapan-Englishtown Schools before her retirement.
Mrs. Winchester was a communicant of Our Lady of Mercy R. C. Church, Englishtown where she was a CCD teacher. She was a member of the Gordon’s Corner Fire Company Auxiliary and a supporter of the Sisters of the
Little Flower.
Her husband of 45 years, Harry J. Winchester, died in 2003.
Surviving are a daughter, Diane Simone, Manalapan Township; two brothers, James and Robert O’Gara; a sister, Patricia Lehman; and three grandchildren, Celia Winchester, and Gena and Paula Simone.
Visiting hours will be held at the Higgins Memorial Home, 20 Center Street, Freehold on Wednesday from 2:00 to 4:00 and 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. The funeral liturgy will be celebrated at Our Lady of Mercy R.C. Church, Main Street, 58 Englishtown on Thursday at 10:00 a.m. followed by interment at Brigadier General William C. Doyle Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Arneytown. In lieu of flowers memorial donations to Christian Brothers De La Salle Nursing Development, 810 Newman Springs Road, Lincroft, NJ 07738 would be appreciated.
