Obituary of Harold F. Bennett

Harold F. Bennett, Jr., 76, of Freehold died Monday, December 7, 2009 at the Freehold Manor. He was born in Somerville, Massachusetts. He was a graduate of Boston College and had served with the U.S. Army. Mr. Bennett was bursar of Hunter College, New York City before his retirement in 1992, He was a communicant of St. Robert Bellarmine R.C. Church, Freehold Township where he served as a member of the ecumenical committee. He was a former member of the Freehold Township Board of Education and was a volunteer for Raptor Rescue. Surviving are his wife, Roberta Cosgrove Bennett; three sons, Christopher, Mark, and Eric; a daughter, Kirsten; and six grandchildren. The Funeral Liturgy will be celebrated at St. Robert Bellarmine R.C. Church, 61 Georgia Road, Freehold on Thursday at 11:00 a.m. Higgins Memorial Home, Freehold is in charge of arrangements.
