Obituary of Kenneth J. Daley
Kenneth J. Daley, 91, of Manchester Township died Friday, December 11, 2009 at Van Dyke Hospice and Palliative Care Center, Toms River. Mr. Daley was born in Freehold.
He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II serving in Company M of the 290th Infantry.
He was a weaver for the Hightstown Rug Mill, Hightstown before his retirement. Prior to that he was employed at the A. & M. Karagheusian Rug Mill, Freehold.
Mr. Daley was a partner in the Two Vets Billiard’s Parlor, Freehold.
He was a communicant of St. Rose of Lima Church and a member of American Legion Post No. 54, both of Freehold.
His wife, Ruth B. Daley, died in 2001.
Surviving are two sons and daughters-in-law, Edward J. and Leslie Daley, and Thomas F. and Jane Daley; a sister, Carolyn Brach; nine grandchildren, Sean, Katie, Michelle, Thomas, Christine, Tracy, Amanda, Paige, and Cara; and six great grandchildren, Eli, Nathalia, Kora, Kaylin, Blake, and Devin.
Visiting will be held at the Higgins Memorial Home, 20 Center Street, Freehold on Tuesday from 8:30 to 9:30 a.m. The Funeral Liturgy will be celebrated at St. Rose of Lima Church, Freehold on Tuesday at 10:00 a.m. followed by interment at St. Rose of Lima Cemetery, Freehold. Memorial donations to the American Cancer Society would be appreciated.
