Obituary of Helene M. Cullen

Helene M. Cullen, 81, of Jackson Township died Saturday, December 12, 2009 at Care One at Jackson, Jackson Township. Mrs. Cullen was born in New York City and had resided in Freehold Township for 32 years before moving to Jackson Township ten years ago. She attended Sacred Heart Grammar School, Highbridge, N.Y, and graduated from Cathedral High School, Manhattan. Class of 1946. Mrs. Cullen was a communicant of St. Rose of Lima Church, Freehold and a former member of Catholic Daughters of the Americas, Court St. Rose of Lima No. 737, both of Freehold. Surviving are her husband of 58 years, James J. Cullen; four sons, James J., Jr., Robert, Brian, Michael; two daughters, Cathy and Carolyn Cullen; a brother, Joseph Malley; and six grandchildren, Shawn, Scott, Kimberly, Robbie, Ryan, and Nicole. Visiting hours will be held at the Higgins Memorial Home, 20 Center Street Freehold on Tuesday from 2:00 to 4:00 and 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. The Funeral Liturgy will be celebrated at St. Rose of Lima Church, Freehold on Wednesday at 10:00 a.m. followed by interment at St. Rose of Lima Cemetery.
