Obituary of Susan Swiat Yorke

Dr. Susan Swiat Yorke, 42, of Monroe Township died Wednesday, December 30, 2009 at St. Peter’s Medical Center, New Brunswick. She was born in Perth Amboy. Susan was a graduate of Rutgers University, New Brunswick where she earned a Bachelor of Arts Degree, Master’s Degree, and PhD. She was an active in animal rescue and protection work. She earned a Black Belt in Goju Ryu from Mountain Martial Arts, Monroe Township and in Taekwondo. She was predeceased by her father, Mathew Swiat, in January 2009. Surviving are her mother, Barbara Prusicki Swiat; two brothers, Mathew Swiat and his wife Rachael, and Jonathan Swiat; two nephews, Evan and Eric Swiat; and her fiancé, Jeff Mason. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Funeral Liturgy at Our Lady of Mercy R.C.
