Obituary of Brother Robert Fagan

Brother Robert Fagan, F.S.C., 18 years at Christian Brothers Academy, Lincroft quietly passed away on Wednesday, January 13, 2010 at Riverview Medical Center, Red Bank, after a brief illness. Born Robert Michael Fagan in 1946, Brother Robert joined the Brothers of the Christian Schools in 1961 and served in the Brothers’ School in New York and Lincroft until his untimely death. Receiving the Religious Habit of the Christian Brothers in 1965, Brother Robert earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Education from Catholic University of America, Washington, D.C. and eventually a license in physical fitness from the University of Minnesota which he exercised as an athletic trainer at C.B.A. since 1992. Brother Robert spent endless time in service to students and faculty at Christian Brothers Academy who needed some physical help. More than that, his personal charisma gave a lift to his patients so that Br. Robert left them cheered in body and mind. He will be remembered as a fine friend to all his grateful patients. He is survived by a brother, Br. Gabriel Fagan, F.S.C., a professor at La Salle University, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Friends may call on Friday, January 15, 2010 from Noon to 8:00 P.M. at the Christian Brothers Residence, 850 Newman Springs Road, Lincroft, and on Saturday, 9:00 to 10:00 A.M. at Christian Brothers Academy, Lincroft. A Funeral Liturgy will be celebrated at 10:00 A.M. at the school. Donations in his memory to Christian Brothers Development Office, 850 Newman Springs Road, Lincroft, NJ 07738 would be appreciated.
