Obituary of Bessie Conover

Bessie Conover, 95, of Manalapan Township died Friday, January 15, 2010 at Pine Brook Care Center, Manalapan Township. Mrs. Conover was born in Farmingdale and had resided in Freehold before moving to Manalapan in 1947. She was a member of the St. Rose of Lima Senior Citizens Club. Her husband, George Henry Conover, died in 1982. She was also predeceased by two sons-in-law, Larry L. Hicks who died in 1970 and Chad H. Kmiec who died in 2001. Surviving are two daughters, Patricia A. Kmiec, Monroe Township and Mary Lou Whiting, New Egypt; a brother, Arthur Miller, Green Valley, Arizona; four grandchildren, David A. Hicks and his wife, Lori, Denise LeBrun and her husband, Raymond John LeBrun, Chad C. Kmiec and his wife, Mabel, and Michelle Delano; and five great grandchildren; Courtney Madison Hicks, Raymond LeBrun, Jr., Andrea Kmiec, Chelsey Kmiec, and George Overstreet Funeral services will be held at the Higgins Memorial Home, 20 Center Street, Freehold on Wednesday at 10:00 a.m. followed by interment at Old Tennent Cemetery, Tennent. Visiting hours will be held at the funeral home on Tuesday from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m. Memorial donations to the Alzheimer’s Association would be appreciated.
