Obituary of Irene Lang

Irene Lang, 94, of Spotswood, formerly of Howell Township died Friday, January 29, 2010 at the Reformed Church Home, Old Bridge Township. Mrs. Lang was born in Clifton and had resided there before moving to Howell Township in 1967. She moved to Spotswood several years ago. Mrs. Lang was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Farmingdale; Howell Senior Citizens Club, and Farmingdale Senior Citizens Club. Her husband, Harry Lang, died in 1982. A daughter, Irene McKnight, died in 1979. She was also predeceased by three brothers, Fred, James, and Matthew Hazenkamp and two sisters, Dina Sneider and Jeanette Porter. Surviving are a daughter, June Van Wageninge and her husband Kenneth, East Brunswick; two brothers, Simon and Harold Hazekamp; two sisters, Dorothy Dunn and Joan Pfferkorn; seven grandchildren; and 13 great grandchildren. Visiting hours will be held at the Higgins Memorial Home, 20 Center Street, Freehold on Monday from 2:00 to 4:00 and 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. Funeral services will be held at the funeral home on Tuesday at 11:00 a.m. followed by interment at Maplewood Cemetery, Freehold.
