Obituary of Ada Reason
Ada Reason, 70, of Freehold died Monday, February 1, 2010 at CentraState Medical Center, Freehold Township. Mrs. Reason was born in Chipley, Florida.
She was a nurse’s aide at The Manor, Freehold Township before her retirement.
She was a faithful member of the Church of God, Freehold where she was a Mother of the church, choir member, a teacher and former secretary of the church Sunday school, and a member of the Kitchen committee and usher board.
Surviving are her husband of 53 years, Lee Reason; four sons, Leo Reason, Jr. and his wife Tracey, Steven Reason and his wife Evelyn, Willie Reason and his wife Karen, and Kirk Reason; two daughters, Elizabeth Medlar and Regina Reason; a brother, Dan Summers, Jr. and his wife Brenda; two sisters, Cora Thorpe and her husband Rev. Willie Thorpe, and Pearl Snell; her mother-in-law, Dorothea Jenkins and two sisters-in-law, Corabell Fell and Bertha Smith, all of Florida; a first cousin, Elizabeth Rice; 11 grandchildren; three great grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews.
The viewing will be held at the Church of God, 26 Ave. A, Freehold on Monday from 9:30 to 11:00 a.m. The funeral service will be held at the church at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Gerald Cobbs officiating. The interment will follow at Maplewood Cemetery, Freehold. Higgins Memorial Home, Freehold is in charge of arrangements.
