Mrs. Denise was raised in Hasbrouck Heights, New Jersey. She graduated from New Jersey College for Women, now part of Rutgers University. She married and moved to Freehold, where she taught vocal music in the Freehold Township Schools for over thirty years. She was an active member of First Church of Christ, Scientist, as well as the Shrewsbury Chorale for many years.
She is predeceased by her husband, Walter Denise, and her son, Tunis Denise. She is survived by her son, David Denyse, of Dedham, Massachusetts and her daughter, Susan Fleming, of Newport Beach, California. In addition, she is survived by six grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
