Obituary of Doris J. Venti

Doris J. Venti, 93, of Freehold died Tuesday, March 23, 2010 at The Manor, Freehold Township. She was born in Clay, Alabama and had resided in Red Bank before moving to Freehold in 1982. She was a machine operator for RCA, Edison before her retirement. Mrs. Venti was a member of the First United Methodist Church, Freehold and the Dorcus Club of the church. She was a social service volunteer for many years. She was predecease by her first husband, John Greathouse and her second husband, Samuel J. Venti. Surviving are a son, David Greathouse; a daughter, Marie Kunz; two grandsons, Paul and James Ritter; a stepdaughter and her husband, Joan and Ed Kress; and two step granddaughters, Mary Alsager and her husband Eric and Judy Czeto and her husband John; and three step great grandchildren, William and Thomas Alsager and Samatha Czeto. Visiting will be held at the Higgins Memorial Home, 20 Center Street, Freehold on Friday from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. Funeral services will be held at the funeral home on Saturday at 9:30 a.m. followed by interment at Maplewood Cemetery, Freehold. Memorial donations to the First United Methodist Church of Freehold would be appreciated.
