Obituary of Ronald Andrew Husosky

Ronald Andrew Husosky, 61, of Manalapan Township died after a nineteen month battle with Creutzfeldt-Jakob Disease on April 20, 2010. Ron was born in Elizabeth in May of 1948 to Andrew and Valerie Husosky. He earned the honor of Eagle Scout in 1966 with the Boy Scouts of America, Troop 42, Linden. The same year he graduated Linden High School and continued his education by acquiring his Bachelor degree in Psychology at Monmouth University while also perfecting his tan and surfing skills J. Married to Lorraine Constance Kaminsky in 1974, they moved to Rahway where they gave birth to their first born son Drew. A warehouse manager with Super Markets General he and his wife and son moved to Manalapan Township where they gave birth to their second son Eric. Ron loved fishing, cooking, swimming and was star pitcher for the Linden softball team “Electric Kielbasy”. He also was an assistant scout master for Boy Scout Troop 157. He is survived by his wife, Lorraine; his sons, Drew and Eric; a sister, Barbara Ellow, and his best friend, Tom Pietrzak. There will be a viewing at Higgins Memorial Home, 20 Center Street, Freehold on Sunday, April 25, from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. The Funeral Liturgy will be celebrated at St. Thomas More Church, 186 Gordon’s Corner Road, Manalapan on Monday at 10: 00 a.m. followed by interment at St. Rose of Lima Cemetery, Freehold.
