Obituary of Br. Eduardo F.S.C. Barros
Br. Eduardo Barros, F.S.C., 90, of Lincroft, died Sunday, April 25, 2010 at De La Salle Hall, Lincroft. Brother Barros was born in Havana, Cuba, and received the Holy Habit of the Christian Brothers on January 25, 1948.
He was a graduate of the University of Havana, Havana, Cuba where he received a Juris Doctorate in 1942, a Doctorate of Social Sciences in 1943, and a Doctorate of Pedagogy in 1952.
His teaching assignments included Colegio Salle Vedado, Havana, Cuba; La Salle Academy, Cardinal Spellman High School, and a teacher of Spanish at St. Joseph’s Seminary, all of New York City, Christian Brothers Academy, Syracuse, New York, and Queen of Peace High School, North Arlington, New Jersey. He retired to De La Salle Hall, Lincroft in 2003.
The viewing will be held at De La Salle Hall on Wednesday from 2:00 to 4:00 P.M. and 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. The Funeral Liturgy will be celebrated at De La Salle Hall on Thursday at 10:00 A.M. followed by interment at the Christian Brothers section of St. Gabriel’s Cemetery, Marlboro. Memorial donations to De La Salle Nursing Development, 810 Newman Springs Road, Lincroft, NJ 07738 would be appreciated. Higgins Memorial Home, Freehold is in charge of arrangements.
