Obituary of Maria B. Perez

Maria B. Perez, 99, of Freehold died Thursday, May 20, 2010 at The Brookside, Freehold. She was born in San German, Puerto Rico and had resided in Spotswood before moving to Freehold. Mrs. Perez was an assembly line worker for Bookbinder, New York City before her retirement. She was a communicant of St. Rose of Lima Church, Freehold. Her husband, Vicente Perez, died in 1965. She was also predeceased by a son, Louis A. Perez in 1981 and two daughters, Carmen T. Hernandez in 2000 and Emelinda Vasquez in 1966. Surviving are two sons, Edison A. Perez, St. Cloud, Florida and Manuel G. Perez, Freehold; a daughter, Rita J. Toro, Howell Township; 22 grandchildren; 34 great grandchildren; and 12 great great grandchildren. Visiting hours will be held at the Higgins Memorial Home, 20 Center Street, Freehold on Sunday from 2:00 to 6:00 p.m. A prayer service will be held at 4:00 p.m. Relatives and friends are invited to gather at the funeral home on Monday at 10:00 a.m. The interment will be held at Rose Hill Cemetery, Linden at 11:00 a.m.
