Obituary of John H. Hampton

John H. Hampton, 94 of Freehold, died Friday, June 11, 2010 at The Manor, Freehold Township. Born in Freehold, he lived there and in Neptune prior to returning to Freehold 12 years ago. Mr. Hampton was a cottage supervisor for the Arthur Brisbane Child Treatment Center, Allaire, for 15 years, retiring 33 years ago. Prior to that, he was employed by the A. & M. Karagheusian Rug Mill. He was a former member of the Second Baptist Church of Freehold. Surviving are a daughter and son-in-law, Yvonne and Dorian Parreott, Freehold; a grandson, Dorian Parreott, II, and his wife Carla, and a granddaughter, Michele Parreott, all of Somerset. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, June 15, 2010 at 11:00 A.M. at Bethel A.M.E. Church, 3 Waterworks Road, Freehold, at 11:00 A.M. Relatives and friends may call at the Church from 9:00 to 11:00 A.M. Interment will follow at Maplewood Cemetery, Freehold. Higgins Memorial Home, 20 Center Street, Freehold is in charge of arrangements.
