Obituary of Willie J. Yarbrough

WILLIE J. YARBROUGH, 66, OF MANALAPAN TOWNSHIP (formerly of Tinton Falls), passed away Thursday, June 24, 2010, at home. Willie was born in Williamson, Georgia, before settling in Red Bank in 1962. Willie worked for the Preferred Construction Bayonne and Patock Construction Tinton Falls as a Labor Forman, retiring in 2008. Mr. Yarbrough was predeceased by his parents Andrew and Annie Bell Yarbrough, first wife Inez, sisters; Rosa May Yarbrough, Opalnell Smith, and Marjorie Pack; brothers; Charlie, Johnnie B and Samuel Yarbrough. Surviving wife Arlene Fitzpatrick, siblings Larry and sister-in-law Martha Yarbrough of Red Bank ; Lee Andrew Yarbrough of FL, Julia Neely Union City, GA; Barbara G. Reid, Red Bank, and Georgia Mae and brother-in-law William Arnold, his daughter, Jada Hicks of Eatontown, his sons, Darrell of Eatontown; Allen and daughter-in-law Janis of Sharonville OH; Tyron and daughter-in-law Tina of Tempe AZ, Steven(a.k.a. Wee Wee) and Joan of Neptune; his grandchildren, Sharonda Yarbrough of Long Branch, Maleek, Shameeka and Shainecca Yarbrough , all of Tempe Arizona, Shanita Yarbrough, Dominique Searight of Tinton Falls, Janaya Hicks of Eatontown, Allen L. Jr, D’Asia A. and Jahnay I. Yarbrough all of Sharonville Ohio; and his great-grandchild, Zamir Mincie and a host of nieces , nephews and cousins. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend his visitation at the Bethel A.M.E. Church, 3 Waterworks Road, Freehold on Thursday, July 1, from 9:00 to 11:00 a.m. The funeral ceremony will follow at 11:00 a.m. at the church. Repast will follow immediately. A special thanks to all the caregivers at Saint Barnabas Hospice Center Long Branch. In lieu of flowers please give a flowering perennial plant. Higgins Memorial Home, Freehold is in charge of arrangements.
