Obituary of Stephen V. Puopolo
Stephen V. Puopolo, 49, of Jackson Township, died suddenly on Monday, June 28th, 2010. Stephen was born in Belleville and was raised in Jackson Township. He attended Jackson Memorial High School, graduating in 1979. After high school, he joined the Carpenters Resilient Flooring Local 2212 until retiring in 2000.
Stephen is predeceased by his parents Lawrence A. and Patricia E. Puopolo.
He is survived by his two sons, Lawrence and Thomas Puopolo of Forked River; a stepson Richard Sloan, Keyport; his brothers, Robert A. Puopolo and his wife, Laura, Howell, Christopher W. Puopolo and his wife Maria, Jackson, Michael Puopolo, Brick, and his sisters Lisa A. Delia and her husband Steven, Howell Township, Andrea Aksan and her husband Cengiz, Jackson Township, and Tara C. Naldi and her husband Robert, Jackson Township Additional survivors include his loving companion, Annette Nicosia of Freehold, two step-grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Stephen will be remembered for his selfless generosity and charming personality. He enjoyed music, fishing and playing golf. Anyone who knew him could count on him for anything. Stephen lived in a world that didn’t have enough time left in it to achieve his big dreams and expectations. When guided by his heart, Stephen’s presence, charisma and love were projected on everyone around him.
There will be a memorial service in celebration of Stephen’s life at Higgins Memorial Home, 20 Center Street, Freehold on Saturday, July 3rd, 2010, from 1-3 PM. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Musicians On Call 1133 Broadway Suite 630 New York, NY 10010.
