Obituary of Joseph Warren Mitchell

Joseph Warren Mitchell, 76 of Freehold died Saturday, July 24, 2010 at The Manor, Freehold Township. Born in Bronx, New York, he lived there prior to moving to Freehold 39 years ago. Mr. Mitchell was a printer for the New York Daily News, New York, New York for 25 years, retiring 17 years ago. He was a U.S. Navy veteran of the Korean War. Surviving are his wife, Patricia Ann O’Hara Mitchell; two daughters, Laura Mitchell and her husband Dale Howell, Atlanta, Georgia, and Karen Weisensel and her husband Michael, Cincinnati, Ohio; a brother, Thomas Mitchell and his wife Elaine, Cape Coral, Florida; a sister, Sr. Ruth Mitchell, O.P., Belmar; and four grandchildren, Corey Howell, and Emma, Matthew and Hannah Weisensel. Relatives and friends may call at the Higgins Memorial Home, 20 Center Street, Freehold on Tuesday, July 27, 2010, 2:00 to 4:00 P.M. and 7:00 to 9:00 P.M. A funeral Liturgy will be celebrated on Wednesday at 10:00 A.M. at St. Rose of Lima Chapel, Freehold. Interment will follow at the Brig. Gen. William C. Doyle Veterans Cemetery, Arneytown.
