Obituary of Bernard Tare
Bernard Tare, 84, of Jackson Township died Sunday, August 1, 2010 at CentraState Medical Center, Freehold Township. Mr. Tare was born in New York City and had resided in Freehold for over 50 years before moving to Jackson Township two years ago.
He was a U.S. Army Air Corps veteran and had served in The Philippines.
He was the co- owner and operator of Star Auto Store, Freehold for 32 years.
He was a graduate of City College of New York. Mr. Tare was a former member of Congregation Agudath Achim, Freehold where he served as a youth group leader. He was a member of the Oglensky-Jackson Post No. 359, Jewish War Veterans of the United States of America and a past president of the Monmouth County Aquarium Society. He was an avid gardener, deep sea fisherman and world traveler.
Surviving are his wife, Henrietta Kamin Tare; his children, Nadine Tare Seals and husband Cary Seals, Carol and Clark Curren, and Douglas Tare; five grandchildren, Jordan and Clifford Seals, David, Adam and wife Kim, and Cory Curren,; and a great granddaughter, Leah Curren.
Funeral services will be held at the Higgins Memorial Home, 20 Center Street, Freehold on Tuesday at noon followed by interment at Hebrew Benefit Society Cemetery, Freehold. Memorial donations to the American Heart Association would be appreciated.
