Obituary of Ralph Hanson
Ralph Hanson, 93, of Manalapan Township died Monday, August 9, 2010 at the home of his daughter Lorraine Yoncak in Freehold Township. He was born in Freehold, was raised in the Adelphia section of Howell Township and resided in Manalapan Township most of his life.
He was a lifelong member of the Reformed Church of Freehold, a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II, a motorcycle rider and was happiest outdoors.
He was predeceased by his wife, Dorothy Touton Hanson, in 1980; his sister, Gertrude Fell, his brothers, John, Sam, Myron, and Paul Hanson; and his sons-in-law, Dennis Mancuso and David Gant.
Surviving are his sister and brother-in-law, Emma and Hank Freeman, Ohio; his brothers and their wives, Walter and Elizabeth Hanson, California, and Irwin and Mary Hanson, Florida; his sons and daughters, Ralph and Barbara Hanson, California, Constance Gant, Wall Township, Richard Hanson, Manalapan Township, Jane Mancuso, Plumstead Township; Lorraine and Rich Yoncak, Freehold Township, and Robert Hanson, Maryland. Also surviving are his grandchildren, Erica Hanson, Darlene Panzera, David and Wayne Gant, Doug Hanson, Jennifer and Christopher Mancuso, Paul Yoncak, Bridgette Hanson; and eight great grandchildren.
Relatives and friends may call on Friday from on Friday from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. at the Higgins Memorial Home, 20 Center Street, Freehold. Funeral services will be held at the funeral home on Saturday at 10:00 a.m. followed by interment at Maplewood Cemetery, Freehold.
