Obituary of Helen C. Evans

Helen C. Evans, 91, of Freehold Township died Monday, August 09, 2010 at home. Mrs. Evans was born in Freehold and was a lifelong resident. She was a communicant of St. Rose of Lima Church, Freehold; a former real estate agent; and a childcare provider for children in her neighborhood. She enjoyed collecting antiques. She was a loving mother and grandmother with a song in her heart and a wit of her tongue. Her husband, Thomas Evans, died in 1969. Surviving are three sons, Thomas, Morgan, and Harry; a daughter, Mary; six grandchildren; and six great grandchildren. Visiting will be held at the Higgins Memorial Home, 20 Center Street, Freehold on Thursday from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. The Funeral Liturgy will be celebrated at St. Rose of Lima Church, Freehold on Friday at 10:00 a.m. followed by interment at St. Rose of Lima Cemetery.
