Obituary of Frank S. Weglarz
Frank S. Weglarz, 83, of Englishtown died Wednesday August 4, 2010 in Hernando, FL. He was born on Aug. 6, 1926 to Michael and Mary (Miskiewcz) Weglarz. He graduated from South River High School and is a Veteran of the United States Army serving in World War II.
He moved to Englishtown with his wife Marie in 1952 where they became communicants of Our Lady of Mercy church where he was an long time usher on Saturday evenings. He was also a long time member of the Knights of Columbus Prince of Peace Council No. 5903. He worked for over 30 years at Union Carbide, Bound Brook where he was also part of their Fire Team. Retiring in 1988, he loved spending time with his family, especially his Grandchildren. He was always there when anyone needed him.
He is survived by his wife of 57 years Marie (Cottrell) Weglarz, son Gary, Englishtown, daughter and son in law, LuAnn and Gary Gilroy, Lecanto, FL, grandsons Nicholas and Matthew Gilroy, Lecanto, FL, granddaughter Kelly Ann Gilroy, Estero, FL, brother Michael Weglarz, Old Bridge, sisters Nell White, Old Bridgeand Irene Inglis, Holmdel and sister in law Joan Weglarz of Monroe Township and many nieces and nephews.
A memorial gathering will be held at Higgins Memorial Home, 20 Center Street, Freehold on Friday, Aug 13, 2010, from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Our Lady of Mercy Church, Englishtown at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday Aug 14, 2010 with burial to follow at St. Rose of Lima Cemetery, Freehold.
